D80sV #43: Guns N Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine

Daily 80's Video #43: Here they are. The revolutionary rock band of the 80's, the first of the 1-2 punch to knock hair bands out forever. Or at least for the 80s-90s. When Guns N Roses, Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Steven crashed onto the scene they broke the mold for all the hair metal bands. Guns N Roses seemed real, gritty, harsh, dangerous. They instantly made all the hair bands, with all their fluffy styled hair, costumes, and theatrics look passe, even lame. The second of the 1-2 punch, by the way, were the bands from Seattle, of course. Here's the song that started it all, "Sweet Child O' Mine". Enjoy the grainy film, the scary appearance of these guys (considering the decadence of the 80's and the party they were crashing), Axl's grooving, Izzy's completely "don't give a damn" attitude, and the scariest, most mysterious one of all Slash.
