I think it's important for us to remember where we came from. And where did we all come from? Well, the 80's of course! In order to stay immersed in the 80's, I'm gonna try to post a daily 80's video. If you want to stay connected to the 80's I suggest you like subscribe to D80sV so you can get your daily dose of the 80's. Enjoy the 80's videos!

D80sV #61: EPMD - So Whatcha Sayin'?
Daily 80's Video #61: EPMD were always one of my favorite rap groups. Erick Sermon's signature mouth-full-of-marbles delivery was so rare, managing to sound goofy and serious at the same time, coming a little bit after Biz Markie and way before Notorious BIG, who have similar deliveries. EPMD means Erick and Parrish Making Dollars. "So Whatcha Sayin'" has got to be one of their best songs. This video is crazy and so random. Enjoy seeing EPMD's apparent sewer hideout, the odd monkish looking fellas, and all the crotch grabbing at the end, and hey even an inexplicable sumo wrestler's loincloth. Get some D80sV merch. D80sV #60: DMK - Everything Counts (Depeche Mode Cover)
Daily 80's Video #60: Every once and a while a cover does an original song justice. And that's what this video does, and then some. Not only does DMK do Depeche Mode's "Everything Counts" justice, it all also adds a certainly element of absolutely adorable cuteness. Amazing job guys! Enjoy this talented ensemble, especially those incredible talented tikes, gotta love it! Get some D80sV merch. Or maybe curl up with a good ebook. Go to next D80sV.
D80sV #59: Depeche Mode - Everything Counts
Daily 80's Video #59: I wish this video was as cool as the song. Unfortunately, it's not. Someday I'll post the live version, after Depeche Mode got a little dark, a little dangerous. But not so dangerous they were too drugged out to perform. Ugh. "Everything Counts" is definitely one of my favorite Depeche Mode songs. Enjoy the great song, the corny backup singing set-up from Martin Gore and the boys, the random -and I mean random- pictures of people buying stuff or just standing around thinking about buying stuff. D80sV #58: Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come On Eileen
Daily 80's Video #58: Ah, "Come on, Eileen", easily one of the best tracks of the 80's, going on to outsell every other single in 1982. Kevin Rowland's voice is unforgettable. His overalls and armpit hair is also unforgettable. This song is possibly one of the funnest sing-along songs ever, drunk or sober. Enjoy the matching overalls (a look the Runners adopted for this album and this album only), the Celtic dancing, and the scary part at the start of the Too-Rye-Ay chant when the boys start after Eileen and the other Bananarama girl - yikes! D80sV #57: The Specials - Ghost Town
Daily 80's Video #57: Here's the first of many songs by The Specials. Love the Specials sound. Didn't really get into them until well after the 80's. They made some great, innovative music in a very short time, together with label mates, Madness. Enjoy the reggae ska groove, the freak out moments, and Terry Hall - the white dude - who never smiles and never laughs in all the videos I've seen him. Get some D80sV merch. Or maybe curl up with a good ebook. Go to next D80sV.
D80sV #56: Foreigner - I Wanna Know What Love Is
Daily 80's Video #56: Okay, I don't know what it is but when this song came out in 1984 they played about a gazillion times. You just couldn't get away from it. And now, 30 years later, well, I'd give anything to go back and be bombarded by this song if it meant being back in the 80's again. However, I don't feel the same way about Katrina and the Waves' "Walking On Sunshine." I still hate that song and always will. Well, maybe not. Anyway enjoy this quintessential power balled from the 80's, the slow-mo camera, and Roman Polanski on the drums! Really. It could happen. Get some D80sV merch. Or maybe curl up with a good ebook.
