Daily 80's Video #96: Wow! This video really brings it all back. And it's so hilarious. David Lee Roth was such a character back then. He was the perfect light-hearted foil for Van Halen. I mean, the whole Waldo thing from "Hot For Teacher" has Dave written all over it. "Just A Gigolo" features some dead-on and timely impersonations, making this video a perfect time capsule from that time period. I especially like Dave's little crotch dance for the three censors. Daily 80's Video #95: It's so funny watching Billy Idol now. When I was a kid I thought he was so scary. Now, with his incessant sneering and posturing he just seems like a mental patient with anger issues. Nothing a little shock treatment wouldn't fix, which reminds me of the David Lee Roth video when the Idol impersonator gets, well, shocked. That's gotta be the next daily 80's video! Daily 80's Video #94: Here's one U2 earliest "hits" off their 1980 debut album Boy. They're so young in this video. And very early on we can see The Edge finding his signature guitar sound that would follow U2 throughout their career. It's amazing that these same 4 guys have been in the same band for over 30 years. Can you think of 3 other non-family members you've hanging with for 30 years? Quite a feat.
